whats the best camera 2 use for candids.

I would probably prefer to use a compact or other small camera (such as a film rangefinder) due to its unobtrusiveness. A leica would be awesome!
 
Compact or an SLR with a telescopic lens... But you need decent light for that.

Continuous drive can be handy for getting those interesting expressions :D
 
yeah! The reason I asked the question is usually when you are out and about you find this amazing photo opportunity but have no camera. I use a digital slr wwhich is a bit too bulky 2 carry everywhere. Also I feel a bit 2 self-conscious unless of course you're carring a large lense.
 
I think i'd take a leica with a 50mm f/2 summicron. It's small, easy to use and takes shots of fantastic quality, certainly a time where the tools can't be blamed for a bad shot.
