I'm thinking about going conroe, but also thinking about going crossfire at the same time.

Is the Asus P5W DH Delux any good for overclocking an allendale E6300 ?
and is it fully crossfire supported e.g 2x pciexpress x16 slots.

Was also thinking of trying out the Asrock ConroeXFire-eSATA2 but this has only got 1 x pciexpress x16 socket, anyone got any experience of this ?

Or are there any other bad boys out there or on the horrizon that are worth considering ?

Hi
The PW5-DH has 2 pci-e x16 slots, but runs 2x8 when in xfire mode, as regards to the 6300 o/clocking I can not comment but I have my [email protected] and have no major problems with this board. Lots of features on this board and a very stable for me at least. Hope this helps :D

I would have to agree that the asus p5w is the best xfire board atm. it has good overclocking potential as well, so you should have no problems clocking your chip.

P5WDH Deluxe all the way :)

I have one and is serving me very very well :)

in a week or two am going to go crossfire - hopefully only having 2 x8 lanes won't make a huge performance difference.

Just a heads up.

Holwill and tastyweat your sigs are too big. 4 lines maximum!

EDIT: Seems I was too late to save one of you :(

ive not had a the best experoence with the p5w DH and crossfire 1900

i dont think the board can handle it very well, couldnt get decent cpu clocks with the combo, either that or my processor is too demanding.
Might work ok with conroe?

on the other hand the bad axe seems to be performing good with crossfire.
