Hi all im ordering a new machine in the next week and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the best cooler is out of these and if it would be ok for what I want it to cool..

Im getting a i5 2500k and planning to overclock it to 4.6 (Or More) and I have decided on 2 coolers...

01. Antec Kúhler H2O 620 CPU Watercooler

or

02. Corsair A70 High-Performance Dual Fan CPU Cooler

Thanks

I used to have the 620, idle 26-30, full load highest temps on cores I saw was 63 and that was on prime for like 20 mins.. That's a i7 2600k @ 4.4ghz. Was impressed with it. Was also in push pull with a akasa viper.

How does your 920 measure up????

I was just wondering as the reviews on the 620 are good on here but the review for the Corsair A70 reads as follows :- Looks awsome and keeps my i5 2500k @ 4.5GHz nice n cool idle 29c-36c & Full load prime 95 i havnt seen it go more than 55c if not 50c

920 is about 3-6 degrees cooler on load then the 620, don't know precisely. I'm not too sure about the performance of the A70, but if that review is reliable, it looks real good. Probably a bit too good to be true for the price, but as I said, I am not too sure.

This!

And how has no one bought it yet!?

From what I gather people are worried as its B-grade that it will have bent fins or missing components....despite the fact its only £4 cheaper than the retail unit, which tells me its probably a fully boxed return classed as used.

so the Silver Arrow is the one to go for if im gonna do air cooling???

Whats the best memory to get for this cooler as I was told theres not a lot of room underneath and some memory modules cant be used as the heatsink is too big...
I was told low profile but cant see any mathcing that description in the DDR3 Dual 1600 stuff...

Pretty much look at the pictures, if it looks like it was a crazy heatsink on it and looks twice as tall as a normal module then it wont fit. I think noctua have a list on there site oh what memory is compatible with their NH-D14 cooler, I'll go out on a limb here and say if it fits under a D14 it will fit under a silver arrow.

The term low profile only stems really for the likes of corsair producing a 'low profile' version of their vengeance memory.

Big heatsink:

Most other heatsinks:

And the NH-D14 memory compat. list: http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=compatibility_ram_gen&products_id=34&lng=en
