Mine has to be some clamps that were left at a house we bough by a previous owner. I've used them to hold a garage door shut, clamp wood to a bench for cutting, hold a shed roof on, used them for hanging stuff on, used them to stop a hastily mounted cabinet from falling down, and probably some other stuff I forget. All for FREE!

Now you go.

Offered to repair a PS3 for a mate (new DVD Drive) by the time it arrived he'd bought a PS3 slim so gave me the old one which was working pefectly :D:D:D

Nokia Windows Phone and a Cross Pen, back when Microsoft ExpertZone was a lucrative source of goodies.

Many decades ago I was walking through the town I lived in when some woman with a clipboard asked if I’d participate in a survey, no it’s not a Carry On film scenario, so I said yes. I went into a nearby premises where I had 5 pints of beer, with a pallet cleanser between each pint, and had to fill out a form for each one saying what I thought.

I’ve always believed the best beer is the beer you don’t pay for.

Ordered a top of the range GPU years ago, think it was £350. I cancelled the order and it low and behold it turned up 3 weeks later...

BTNC 4.5 headphones with Vodafone broadband. But probably the best was my combo of a work trip along with my rinsing the airport for Marketforce assignments. I think I got paid £20 (twice) to walk through security, essentially a free pair of trainers and a couple of free lunches - on my way to a paid short trip to Sicily. They were the days.

Can't explicitly say what it was on here but I used to be a prominent reviewer on a certain website and I built up a reputation to the point various vendors would give me substantial freebies for the sake of review. It was to the point I'd get a few a week ranging in value from £30 to the most was about £90

I suppose it's not entirely free but I felt like it was free enough!

I ordered a blanking plate for a retro motherboard from a chinese retailer for £7 delivered, and ended up getting the motherboard with it! Which ironically meant I needed another blanking plate to use that one too :D

A similar thing happened to me with a pair of brogue boots.

Went to dinner at a bar with my wife, one of our favourite places. We had a decent meal with a lot of drinks - beer and shots, we got pretty wasted. Late in the evening some guys came in and started making trouble and hassling the waitress. I went up to them and calmly talked to them to leave her alone, they eventually left. When the bill came the waitress had taken all the drinks off it.

Back at around 2000 I was working in a IT purchasing department for a large company (We'd order at least 2000+ pcs and 1000+ laptops each year not to mention the servers, printers and software) and I was given a few 'benefits' but not sure which was out of these 2 were the best as I was extremely drunk at both and can't really remember them (free booze overshadowed the 'act' I was there for).

Box at Manchester Arena with free beer all night for a Robbie Williams concert from ICL
Tickets including pit lane access to British Grand Prix at Silverstone from HP

Best surprise was when I was contracting in London and got fed up of food in the hotel so went to 5 Guys for a burger, when I got back to the hotel I found out I'd been given someone else's burger as well as my own winner!!

Holiday to the Bahamas via Fort lauderdale - Gift from my parents for getting married. Some might call it a honeymoon but as that marriage is over, it has reverted to a free holiday, in name :D
