Whats the best game to play in 3d?

I think i would have to try the 3D if i think about buying it. And more first hand reviews

If you can get your hands on some cheapo red/blue glasses (nVidia released some called "3D Vision Discover") you can use the anaglyph 3D mode with your geforce or the iZ3D drivers in anaglyph mode with your Radeon.

The colours will be horrible but it'll give you an idea whether your games will work in 3D or not.

Tempted to jump on the nvidia 3d, but still feeling the burn from the original h3d days.

Id imagine the resoultion has improved somewhat? but will it stick and become mainstream, without the horrible mess of driver issues of yesteryear.

While pointing out the negatives, have to say.. it was brilliant back then when it all worked. Games like fifa/madden were amazing, sacrifice, mdk 2 were a good example of 3rd person games working it well.

First person, halflife was taken to a whole another layer of brilliance with the glasses, multiplayer (sven co-op) seriously made it look good. Anyone that ever played the toon maps, imagine those in 3d.. the funhouse.. the drop down when you played mario

How do you know what games will work 3D and what won't? I know of a few like Batman and Resi5 but that's about it.

it only works on directx not opengl but there's very very few opengl games around these days

what about crysis?

its pretty terrible in 3d

Is games like rfactor any good in 3d? I could imaging wheels coming towards you in 3d would be pretty neat. Or even grid 2

most driving games are great, rfactor, gtr2, lfs, iracing. really nice depth to the cockpits and in a mod i play called power and the glory for gtr2 you can see both the feet and hands working its really quite good, but i'd say iracing is the best out of the sims, the jetta dashboard has multiple layers of depth to it and its very realistic indeed. the added depth perception seems to make it a bit easier to drive aswell, well for me anyway

never tried the old systems so i can't compare, runs at 1680x1050 for now and soon 1920x1080 with that new acer monitor about to arrive, no real driver mess now it installs stereoscopic driver with the nvidia forceware drivers, if you've got nvidia now it will show up on programs and features in control panel

was just looking at some normal screenshots of streetfighter 4 in another forum, damn it looks so much better in 3D with those screens i took above
