What's the best GFX card for capturing Freeview?

Nvidia have better Deinterlacing quality with PUREVIDEO.
But AVIVO is good.

im gonna go with ati here since the radeon 9250 in my bros shuttle is very clean at capturing analog sources. then again i have nothing else to compare it to so thats a different story all together.

i suppose hardware assistance of any kind would be really beneficial.

I could only get my x800 VIVO grab at 320x240 & also 7800 grabs at that too so got a £30 capture card & grab at 720x576 dvd

I would get a dedicated DVB card - eg hauppauge - far better solution.

A dedicated freeview card is best. then you can just capture the stream and the quality will be exactly the same as the broadcast.

if capturing from a freeview box via composite/svid, the latest ati multimedia centre doesnt seem to support vivo :/, but the previous version 9.08 is good for capturing and utilising realtime video filters at same time and no cost to cpu performance. Ati MMC does capture at upto 720x576. No idea what vivo is like on nVidia hardware.

Agreed get a dedicated card and let that do the work, makes it easier to set up your recording if you are out also

if you have a freeview box then you could maybe consider an All In Wonder ?
