Whats the best GPU Mem Test program

Crysis?

I've heard people say it's brought out artifacts where others have failed!

Looked at furmark yet? Nothing gets the GPU hotter in my experience, not sure about memory testing though.

Sorry should have said

BFG 260 OC2 .... Ive emailed them and they want to RMA it. Only thing wrong was lately getting jerky gameplay which I was putting down to internet conn.

RMA it, OC2 is a fairly large overclock meaning things like artifacts are much more likely to appear unfortunately and you could make things worse :/ so RMA ASAP! At least BFG are good with handling RMA

EDIT: you could always decrease the clocks to an OC version or the standard GTX 260 clocks that would most likely clear the artifacts up but then you would have paid for a lesser product, so RMA :D

OCCT memory test isn't a good indication of memory or other GPU problems - some of the stuff it does is a bit non-standard and can throw up false positives.

TBH the best thing I've found for testing 200 series cards for "real" stability is playing left 4 dead for atleast an hour - always seems to pick out the weaknesses in 200 series cards oddly when other tests have failed.

Crysis can be a good indicator - but - with AA on sometimes you can get "artifacts" which actually aren't due to a GPU hardware fault with some driver revisions.

As for jerkiness and slowdowns - I've been getting that with the 190 series drivers after awhile on my 200 series cards - specially source games seem to get quite "warpy" feeling and dropping to 40-70fps (from 200+) in heavy action when normally they will sail through with ~200fps. Going back to 186.18 drivers solves it for me but its a pain.

Other than that I just use furmarks extreme burn test.

Thanks mate

So far Ive had zero artifacts in any games ... BF2 , Cod4 , Waw , and Crysis even when running 1680x1050 and 8x AA in Crysis. I d/loaded and tried Furmarks stabilty test and it ran sweet as a nut temps didnt go over 77deg c
