What's the best legitimate way to get MS Office?

The wife has decided she wants office on her laptop, so I'm looking for the most cost effective way.

I see through their own website it's £60 a year for the subscription model, or £120 one off to just buy the basic package.

But I see keys on eBay too. Are these similar to the Windows keys which seem to be OK? Or are they more dodgy? Are there any alternative approaches I'm not aware of? Am I better off asking for an unwanted key in the MM?

Thanks for any advice.

Unfortunately I can't. Is trust playing up at the moment? Can't log on to it, even though I've confirmed I'm definitely using the correct OC forums username and password.

Hmm that's weird, I can't log in to trust either. I just need your email. Can write it here and edit it after I've got it?

Thanks!

Ha! Hilariously, because of the email it has defaulted by surname to 'Bear' and won't let me change it. :D

I think that's only for the store, so won't matter.

OK, it does matter because it demands that name matches a credit card. I can't see why it has defaulted my name to that, unless it's something you had to set yourself?

I might be asking something you don't know the answer to here:

It prices the 365 Family subscription at £20. I assume that's for the year - which is a great price. Do you know if the price will revert to normal the following year though?

No worries if you don't know. :)

I can answer that myself - it will revert to usual price next year. I guess if I can remember my store login, I might be able to use some more of the discount you unlocked for me at that point.

Thank you very much! :)

No worries. The code is good for a year on the store, so feel free to use it for other stuff. After that you'll need to renew. Feel free to ping me on here and if I have spares again I can sort you out.

I have office 365 and it isnt costing me £60 a year.

I just checked though and yeah prices are that now, my invoice page shows £30, I must have got a discount somehow, but dont know how as I dont remember having one.
