Hi there,

What's the best mobo on the market for Crossfire setups?

I am currently using a 945 Intel setup - Only compatible with Intel based 945/955/975X series mainboards

The problem I am finding is that the motherboards at the moment all have bits n pieces which I would never use and would probably amount to overkill paying for it. In saying that, I see mobo's which are crossfire compliant being used for Core 2 Duo etc - which isn't what I need it for. (I already have a C2D computer setup but that's not relevant)

I would appreciate anyones advice/suggestion on what's the best crossfire mobo for a 945 processor.

Many thanks!

EDIT: In the clearance section I noticed this - let me know your thoughts:

Asus P5WDG2-WS Extreme Intel 975X (Socket LGA775) PCI-Express Motherboard - OEM (MB-188-AS)

The PCI-e slots on that board are very close together so you may have problems with heat with one of the cards if the coolers take up 2 slots. Other than that it should do the job well. :)

Hi, thanks for the reply :)

I am planning on using 2 x X1950 XT -X. Hopefully the heat will not be a problem :s

I will make my purchase of the mobo this evening :)
