Whats the best network through electicity product?

Hi,

Im living in a shared house at the moment and have wireless setup so that everyone can use it, but I'm going to be moving in the next few months and I want ot get rid of wireless. i have a pc and laptop so power through the electricty cables would be good.

Im completly new to this and not too sure what the best model would be. Can anyone give me an idea as to what a good model would be and the kind of price it would be around. Ive had a look about and there seems to be a couple of different types of which the latest seems to be homeplug certified.

Devolo has an excellent reputation for their 200Mbps kits, better so than Netgear.

Theres several competing technologies, and several speed grades. Manufacturers seem to be loose in using the word powerline but homeplug is a specifc powerline type technology and has a specific meaning.

Homeplug seem to be winning out at the moment, the 85mbps products are mature and are becoming generic ie cheap and basically all performing the same regardless of maker. 200 mbps Homeplug products ae moving that ways too.

Several big brands use several different technologies so dont assume same brand equals same technology standard.
