Hello

Is there a panel type (or monitor, even) that is best suited for reading text? I read text all day and my eyes are sore and tired by the end.

Currently I'm using an S-PVA screen (Dell 2007FP), win7.

Many thanks.

Id say that if you are reading text all day on a monitor then panel types will make little difference - it will mostly come down to other factors such as glare off the monitor, brightness/contrast settings and how the text shows up (eg size of text, background colour, etc)

I too find my eyes are really tired at the end of the day (write a lot of sql at work) and havent found much that has helped besides taking some breaks from staring at the screen at regular intervals

Try adjusting the brightness settings, reducing it usually helps but not too dark! Also, make sure you are running it at the native resolution of 1680 x 1050.

Maybe you need specs? I was getting sore and tired eyes, got them tested and turned out I was long sighted so my eyes weren't focusing properly on the screen, got some specs and it's been fine ever since.
