Definitely Rules, but it ain’t cheap.
We had a team dinner in a private dining room a few of years ago. It was awesome. Especially when the brandy came out!
Simpsons Tavern for me. Old English school food type stuff done really well. Stewed cheese for desert is a must. 
Oh and instead of asking if you want chips or salad with it, they ask if you want a sausage.
Opened in 1769 or something like that, still has the brass rails for your top hat.

Had a temp job in Poplar and frequented an amazing pie and mash shop there. Can’t remember which of the two it was that are showing on Google maps. They look pretty identical on the inside. Mmm… liquor.
