whats the best thermal paste?

ive put together my new i7 rig and have used artic silver 2 paste as thats all i had at the time.
question is -whats the best thermal compound on the market at the moment and how much temp difference is there between the best and the worst.

Gelid GC Extreme is supposed to be really good I have heard.. haven't tried it personally, I use AS5 myself.

Mx2 = no curing time, AS5 = i think 200hour curing time, so basicly thats why you will see a lot saying use Mx2 as there is no cure time involved.

The MX-2 isnt hard to apply at all you just put a dot in the middle and put the heatsink on top =/

with the tipex I paint a layer on the cpu and then another on the cooler. I'd rather cover the whole surface because at least that way I know everything needed is covered but when you do the dot method you only know where it has covered when you take it off again

I've used this stuff in the past and found it to be quite good, I got a little bottle of it with my 9700NT, I like the application brush that came with it, really easy to apply compared to other thermal compounds.

I love the stuff, it's so easy to product test coolers, I can't believe it's 13 degrees of the gelid, but it is on a colour chart so it has to be true!

The gelid website states only 2 UK stockists, here and one other place, neither have them listed so guess they don't stock them anymore.
