Whats the best version of scrabble you know?

The best version of scrabble I know of is strip scrabble. I play every Tuesday evening with my Grandma and her two friends Joyce and Helen. Unfortunately I seem to more often than not be on the losing side, eventually sitting naked in front of 3 senior citizens who get crumbs from their ginger snaps all over me. I can't compete against their aged wisdom, and because my grandma refuses to own a dictionary, incase she may be tempted to one day cheat on a crossword puzzle, i cannot contest some of their chosen words. I've never heard of chimmeney, but im hardly going to start an arguement with dear old Helen, her pavlova is too delicious. Our games usually last about 2-2 and a half hours, depending on how many of the gals are wearing those tricky girdles. It is immense fun, however be warned you will mostly be breathing farts after the half hour mark, im not even sure they know they are doing them...

I needed this, you have saved my Monday morning.

Erm scrabble deluxe? I have it, and its awesome, a full unfolded scrabble board covered in a plastic grid. Lovely, but I always had to play against myself because I had no friends.

Only one i've seen is scrabble through facebook. Its 2-4 player and is either friends or strangers i think.

I usually go for strangers, i just love the thrill.

Eh? Isn't scrabble just scrabble and any "versions" just amount to a change in UI?

I played yahoo scrabble and thought that was fine.

Are there different ways of playing the game?

I don't know I'm rubbish at scrabble.

scrabble on facebook seems to only support friends game. Is that right cannot play with random people on net?

Usually with FB games you can play with anyone, they just bug the hell out of you to invite everyone on your friends list.

Not so much of a problem for you I guess.

ok figured how to play scrabble on facebook but only 2 players. And I do wanna be word champion on it. We can play together Lucy. I am giving you a chance to woo me as I am a kind gentleman.

No can do Arek, I don't do Facebook and I have the vocabulary of a six year old :(

I would however recommend Edrof for a game of scrabble. He writes, knows lots of words and wears pyjamas too :)
