whats the best vodka?

I owe a vodka drinker a bottle for doing me a huge favour, what's the best out there? Don't want to spend a fortune but something that will say thanks

More of a whisky drinker but Russian Standard, Greygoose and Ciroc would probably be appeciated by most. They are by me anyway.

As suggested Russky Standart is a good option, it isn't a particularly expensive vodka but tastes smooth. Tesco has an offer on the 1L bottle at the moment so £14 gets you a very decent vodka.

Wisniowka, the cherry vodka
Wyborowa, the house vodka

Grey Goose or Belvedere would get my vote. Both around £30 a bottle so not stupidly expensive and I'm sure a vodka drinker would apreciate either.

i polished off one of these the other week (little by little a week obviously) it had a very unique taste to it. i loved the little piece of grass left in it

For me, any Vodka will do, it is the worst of the spirits in my opinion, I just drink it to get wasted and mix with anything. Always resembles paint stripper in many ways. But if I was going to buy somebody a Vodka as a present then I would go for Smirnoff. Nice looking bottle and not ultra cheap.

don't get me wrong I have drunk much voddy in my time, but as a standalone spirit drink it is all very similar in taste. Great for railing though mixed with something, also good as can mix it with pretty much anything, used to drink it straight but cant bring myself to do that anymore. haha.

I suppose, but it's better than the real cheapo stuff thus depends what your comparing to. Though I ain't never bothered when it comes to voddy as it's straight down and don't drink it to savour the taste. All gives the same effect anyway.

I think if you bought a vodka enthusiast a bottle of Smirnoff they'd be quite insulted

Maybe thats where I'm going wrong then, Will have to try some 'Proper' voddy one day, though money is tight an all that. special brew with vodka - yumyum,haha.
