whats the best waterblock on the market

Nexxxxxxos
Swiftech Storm

But your question is simplistic. "Best block" depends on the pump and the flowrate. In a very low flow system, replacing a Swiftech MCW6000 with a Swiftech Storm could worsen temperatures rather than improve them whereas in a high-flow system a Storm would be "better" than a 6000.

Plenty arguement between the Swiftech Storm and Cathar Storm as to which is best, but Cathar only makes / made the G6. and a handfull of G7's which would be the best but not available.

Apart from that there is the Nexxos, and the MCP-05. which are reportedly to be just as good as the original Storm.

And if Swiftech's claims are to be believed the Apogee (available from OcUK) is better than both the non-silver Storms (G4 from Cathar and Swiftech Storm).

As weescott said the G5 (silver) and the G7 (concept silver) were never mass-market products so aren't really a contender if you're looking to part with some cash ;)

They are purdy though, and the silver does sort out those pesky micro-organisms.

Hmm, vendors' claims are always so true aren't they?
