whats the better gfx card

just got back my old 9800se vid card and im currently using my dads 7100gs gfx card.
im just wondering what ppl think it the better card to use the nvidia 7100gs or the ati 9800se vid card?

I doubt there is a whole lot in it. Benchmark them both in the game you play most and find out.

I reckon the 9800 would probably have an edge, don't know too much about the 7100 though. But as suggested above why not just try them both and use whichever works best in whatever game(s) you're playing?

IIRC The 9800 scores 5500 in 3Dmark 03. I had a Herc 9800pro on a AMD XP 2800 setup.

The 7100 scores ~2500.

I'd be very suprised if the 9800SE isn't faster than the 7100GS.

Don't forget the 9800se was the 4 pipe version with 128bit memory interface (the 9800pro was 8 pipe and 256bit).

There were 256bit 9800SEs as well, and often you could re-enable the 4 disabled pipes at driver level if you had the right sort (typically L shaped memory chips).
