You can make the scroll bars as wide as you want them. Go and dig around in the Control Panel to locate Display Properties. Bring up the Apperance page and hit the Advanced button. On the page that appears, you will see the various parts of your screen. Now click on the scroll bar and this then allows you to adjust the width of the bar to your exact taste.qwerty said:It's really confusing cos the middle of the screen is just how i want it but the scroll bar on the right is about 1mm wide, and the clock in the bottom right is illegible its so small.

As to the clock - you could try bumping up the system font size. Again in the Display Properties, locate the last page called Settings, hit the Advanced button, then on the General page change the DPI setting to Large (120dpi). This will bump up the sizes of all fonts, making everything easier to read on the 1280x1024 and above screen.
(I use the 120dpi on my 1920x1200 laptop and old 1600x1200 CRT)
And I notice that you were worried about "messing everything up". The easy way to avoid messing things up is to write down what the settings were before you change them.
