Thinking of getting a new cpu but undecided between:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4800+

AMD Opteron UP 175 Dual Core San Diego 2.2GHz 2MB Cache

What's the difference between the two?

I hear lots of people talking about the Opteron's.

I'm a keen gamer and want to know what chip would be the best choice upgrading from a 4000+ San Diego?
