Whats the difference between these TVs ?
Philips 43PUS6401 vs PHILIPS 43PUS6501

Im looking at one on currys site and the other on argos both look the same to me the only difference i can see is just one number in the model can anyone see any difference?

One is silver and the other is black?

Currys/PCW seem to have their own models a lot... I'd guess it is so they do not have to price match as they can claim it is different.

A quick google tells me the 6401 possibly has a 60hz native panel and the 6501 has a 120hz native panel

If this is the case, then don't let this worry you or persuade you onto the 6501 over the 6401 OP.

I've just picked up the 43" 6401 for £340 and am very impressed for the money, however, the general consensus is that they aren't going to be very good for gaming which doesn't particularly bother me. I've gave the TV a quick test on a few high-pace scenes in different movies and have no complaints. Would definitely recommend it for the money anyway.

This makes some sense for them to do this, the main reason i as is because I will need to buy 4 TVs and would rather get all 4K. if im buying 4 tvs i may as well get them all from one place and currys does normally price match and offer you a bit off when buying so much in store.

Thanks for the info, I will be doing a bit of gaming but i'm assuming it would not be a major issue, to me this looks like a nice tv to have in either the kitchen or bedroom.

I dont move back in to my property till mid-end nov which will be around the black friday sales. now my question is should i get one of these or hold out till black friday and hope for the best,

I need 4 TVs so I'm assuming i would get some discount from local stores but would i get more on the black friday sales.

These are still available for £340 each, definitely worth it at that point.

I'll have it connected to my PC as soon as the HDMI cable arrives and will post back with gaming feedback.

Thanks, if it ends up in the bedroom im going to be doing the same thing.

At work at the moment but I'll check these are correct when I get home:
Size of TV H64.5, W110, D8cm.
Weight of TV 11kg (unpackaged).
Size of TV with stand: H67, W110, D21.3cm.

Apparently it's an 8-bit panel but 10-bit compatible - whatever that means :p

The 6501 has 16GB of internal memory compared to 8GB on the 6401. Also the 6501's remote comes with the keyboard on the back of the remote control.
