Whats the difference between the E2160 and E4300?

One is 1.8GHz the other is 1.86GHz yet there is a £20 price tag difference between em?

the 2160 has 1MB of L2 cache and the 4300 has 2MB

266(1066)x7=1865

200(800)x9=1800

the later is better despite its smaller cache, it will overclock a lot higher due to the higher multiplier.

Also, @ lolage the e4300 is a 800fsb CPU so both 1.80Ghz (9x200)

Think there's has been some confusion here somewhere along the line maybe the OP meant an e6300 which is 1066fsb and has 4Mb cache (Full Conroe)

iirc the e6300 has 2mb cache. And the e6350 is the 4mb varient.

the e6300 IS a 2Mb cache chip, the e6320 a 4mb chip, the e6350 a 4Mb chip with the new 1333fsb.
