Not all Corsair Vengeance has huge heat spreaders:
But the old style with the large heat spreaders is generally cheaper at OcUK.
RAM with the low profile heat spreaders (whatever the make) is better for compatability with large CPU coolers.
8Gb of Corsair Vengeance low profile will set you back £59.99 at OcUK.
In theory it runs at 1.35V but I've seen at least one person having to use 1.5V.
8GB of Corsair XMS3 is £41.99 at OcUK until next Wednesday morning.
It'll run at ~1.5-1.55V which is fine for Sandy Bridge so get the XMS3.
Any particular reason for the 2600K?
The hyperthreading is useful for things like video encoding but if this is for a gaming system the 2500K is just as good and cheaper.
If you do get the 2600K get the retail version as it's £5 more than the OEM but with 2 years extra warranty.
It's more tricky with the 2500K as the retail version is currently £18 more than OEM.
