A £300 7970 (e.g. The Gigabyte Windforce) and a £400 7970 (e.g. the Asus DirectCU II top)? Is the extra £100 worth it?

Also, when does the weekly deal end? Sunday?

The Gigabyte isn't created by a bunch of *****, so buy that one.

Apparently the newer TOPs are OK, but they've had issues in the past. After owning two Matrix Platinum cards, i'm never buying another Asus special card again, too many annoying issues. Ok if you're trying to break records, but will grate on you overclocking day-to-day.

You'll also not have to use GPUTweak which is an added bonus.

Haha ok thanks for the heads up. but In general, what does the extra £££ get you other than problems?

Normally a better and/or quieter cooler

Sometimes higher GPU/memory clocks - this is something you can do yourself with a bit of overclocking and a good GPU chip.

Sometimes the cards can run higher volts.
