whats the difference ?

Hi All i,m alittle bit thick where these are concerned,what is the difference between a wired modem and wireless ? :confused:

wireless means no wires. c'mon even my granny would know that

wirelss uses radio signals, and you have to have a special usb/pci wireless card in the pc you want to be on the network. wireless is good it beats laying cabled all over the house

yeah thought as much ! so what sort of usb/pci wireless card do i get ? point me in the direction of a wireless modem and card :confused:

never let me down. it is the modem and the router in one. Now for wireless adapter for the computer. Well one USB is included with the router. I would always recommend USB ones. My USB adapter is on a 2m usb extension cable so I can place the adapter where the signal is strongest.
