2GB (2x1GB) CorsairTwinX XMS2 Pro, DDR2 PC2-6400, 240 Pins, Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 4-4-4-12, EPP £139.00 £163.33
2GB (2x1GB) CorsairTwinX XMS2, DDR2 PC2-6400 (800), 240 Pins, Non-ECC Unbuffered, 4-4-4-12, EPP, DHX £81.70 £96.00

I can see one has DHX which is to do with the heatspreaders, but other than that I can't see a difference (apart from costing £60 more)

XMS2 and XMS2 Pro ???

Anyone care to enlighten me

Corsair have always ran a veriant of the same modules, mostly to do with the heatspreader type/colour.

Its porbably that OCUK have not purchased the
CorsairTwinX XMS2 Pro, DDR2 PC2-6400, , 4-4-4-12, EPP £163.33
At a lower rate, and therfore have left the original price.
The latest 2CorsairTwinX XMS2, DDR2 PC2-6400, , 4-4-4-12, EPP, DHX £96.00
could also use different chips, but only way to tell would be check with Corsair support;

one has activity lights and one doesn't....now thats worth an extra £70 ish

(especially since the lights are actually supposed to slightly slow down the ram)

The LEDs do not slow the memory down :confused: Whoever told you that is wrong.

As for the 2 memories mentioned above, the Pro is the one with the LEDs. The other is the DHX model which is the new heat spreader design on the Dominator. However, we do not call this part Dominator because it is not a top end part.

do you hav any facts that prove that the led's don't slow it down, it is not by much and not really noticeable, but information which has to flow through a light before it gets to where it is going is going to have further to go/more resistance than if it doesn't, so it will be a tiny bit slower

still think its a rip off to pay an extra £70 for some LEDs
