Whats the difference?

I'm going to buy vista ultimate for my new machine,

On here its £115

But here its £300 odd, whats the difference? If any?

The licensing of the two is different. The cheaper one is an OEM copy and will only allow you to install it on one machine (i think it's tied to the motherboard) and so you are restricted in that you won't be able to upgrade your machine so easily.

The more expensive one has a retail license and will allow you to use it on different machines, so long as it is only installed on one machine at any time.

Someone will probably come along soon and correct any mistakes i've made

Guessing the £369 one is the retail version, the one you posted from here is OEM.

Are you going to frequently upgrade your motherboard? If yes go retail. If no, go OEM.

oem will only allow you to install it on one machine and if you upgrade that machine(new mobo) you would have to buy another copy again.

any news on when vista sp1 would be coming out?
