Hi, i'm building a new system at the moment and i have come to the stage where I buy a graphics card, 5850 to be exact, But I am confused about pricing. There seems to by a lot of cards that have the same specs, warranty etc, but completly different prices. for example.......

and

Basically my question is, are you just paying for a brand name and if so, does the brand name make a difference? e.g. better build quality etc.

Obviously I would rather get the cheap one if its the exact same thing.

Sorry if this is a noob question but........ i'm a noob.

All made in the same factory.

All come with different warranty period..

Some with different coolers,

I'd be looking at the Asus, Sapphire and XFX cards personally.

Sometimes different brands of cards come with different bundles or coolers etc. Or for example some of Asus' cards have voltage tweaking software which allows for better overclocks. But if none of those things interest you then go for whatever is cheapest.

Too late. Took me 2 minutes to write that lol.
