I'm curious they both seem to be almost the same price except one sports '1536MB GDDR5' whilst the other is '3072MB GDDR5'.

Is it an obvious decision to get the 3GB card or is the 1.5 right up there with it?

I think it depends on how many screens/what resolution you will be using the card with...

The 3gb will last longer so get that one it will help when higher res monitors start becoming the norm and will help vastly if you are using multiple monitors

the 1.5gb is priced higher because it is factory overclocked. you can oc the 3gb to the same level with no effot

If you're spending that much you might as well get the 3GB version. I assume you know how to overclock, so beating the factory OC on the other card will be easy.

3gb seems the way to go as more new games use up more vram ie bf3
