I friend of mine is having problems with her SGS, and she took it back to the shop that she bought it from and they said that a backup and restore should fix it.
Unfortunately she's not very technically minded, so she's asked me to do it.
What's the easiest way of doing this, bearing in mind I cannot lose the contacts, messages, etc. on the phone.
I've tried looking on google, and there seems to be 3rd party utilities such as SGS Kernel Flashers, and an official Samsung app called KIES.
The only other phones I've done this to are older Nokia's and iPhones, so I need something that just works, the less fiddling the better, thanks.
