Whats the fastest USB memory stick on OcUK?

As per title really!

Was looking at buying a 16GB one but speed is important as I want to be able to install Windows from it - this is possible right?

Even cheapie ones do 30mb/s which is what USB is limited to, if you want one with fast writes though the OCZ Rally Turbo or the Corsair GT will serve you well.

If you are wanting FAST, you'll want the GT version.

iv heard that the ocz throttle is meant to be really fast (yes i no its esata) but when in usb mode with the cable its meant to trump most usb drives, and when you do actually have an esata port you can enjoy even quicker speeds!

the GT series are red in colour, so no thats not a GT.

I've heard some people complain that the latest GT's use MLC chips with poor performance, can you confirm this Yellowbeard?

They originally used SLC for the GT series, but had to switch to MLC when the supplier changed their lineup. A few people complained about slower speeds but apparently they've just moved to better hardware, and the old ones have been removed from the shops. I don't know how much the new version improves things though.
