My brother is looking for a replacement and I'm out of touch. What's the go to AIO at the moment? Arctic, Alphacool or something else?

Arctic offer the best value to performance and alphacool are also good value . Then you have the likes of corsair and nxzt which offer more control software.

Depends what he wants.

Definitely Arctic. They have recently revised the installation bracket which was a bit fiddly on AM4. Might be luck of the drawer whether you get the old or new version.

Also check the Arctic will fit if he's installing in the roof. It's a thicker than standard 38mm thick radiator (not including fans), so ensure his case has clearance over the motherbord.

Advantage of using Alphacoo Eisbaer line is they have threaded fittings and fill port so can be serviced and/or repaired as needed, which CLCs like Arctic don't. Eisbaer Extreme uses 5 speed pump mounted in radiator unit rated 120-340L/h maximum lift of 4.25m in radiator.Eisbaer & Eisbaer LT pump are rated 70L/h & 0.85m lift while others like Arctic don't give pump specs. Pretty sure they all have copper radiators too.
