Ok, I have an Elite that's about 11 months old. About 6 months ago it scratched and ruined Red Dead Redemption. The xbox is always horizontal as installed with other AV equipment. Since then its been fine but just got Assasins Creed brotherhood for xmas and its done it again on first play. The tiniest of circular scratches about a cm from the centre, rendering the game useless.
I guess I can't take the game back for replacement as it's not the discs fault, but that's £60 of games it's eaten now. Can I send the xbox back under warranty? It's so infrequent it obviously won't do it when tested if I take it to the retailer, si is Microsoft a better bet?
