Worth updating?

If i added another 8800gts 512mb graphics card to my already owned one and made it sli would the performance increase be vast in comparison to most reasonable priced cards 140pounds downwards.

I game at 1440x900
e8400 cpu
3.2gb of ram

at 1440x900 i think you will see a small different.

I would not bother, from the news that is coming through, the new ATI card would be more up to date in its function than the card you have (DX11).

Instead I would sell the current card you have on a certain auction web site, or members market here. Then use the cash to go towards the 5000 series ATI card coming at the end of September. Or if NVIDIA ever mange it their equivalent. You will find that perfomrance will be much improved in your current rig.
