Because erm :o, I was interested in intel burntest and noticed this when running it :o:

Seems a tad high doesn't it, taking my case side off knocks a good 15-20 C off the temps but my pc is a noisy bugger so prefer to keep it on...

Personaly I would keep it under 75c ~ that is too hot for my likeing, what cooler are you using.

between 84-90 at only 1.22v on the CPU, does this not seem off to anyone else?

I've not run a q6700 but it can't be *that* different to a 6600, just a different multi surely?

Yeah thats not right, my Q6700 on a TRUE (admitedly) is 1.413v and doesnt go above 70oC on ibt. You want to do something about that.

Depends on the stepping I think. Check the processor spec finder.

/EDIT
You're thinking of the wattage. Temp spec is 62 or 71C.

Running it at 3.2 ghz. Not messed with volts it's on ''standard'' in bios so I think it's stock but god knows perhaps asus feeds it 1.4 I don't know. Unless the everest and cpu-z readings are accurate and its actually on only 1.22 v
Arctic cooling freezer 7 pro with Arctic silver 5 under it.
G0 stepping.

My whole pc is a bit toasty so I've ordered a CM690 case as atm I'm using a cheap generic 15€ case, dropping the case side dropped temps by 10C...

Additionally, I'm not 100% sure everything is dust free and mounted well, but if my case arrives this week I'll see very soon as I'll have to move everything anyways.

My room is much hotter than usual today too.

Yeah a decent case with good airflow will help. Also making sure heatsink/fan is seated properly. Also if temps till high try taking off heatsink and reapplying the AS5 :)
