I can run my 6300 at 3.2ghz on 1.45v easy, but the temps start to hit 70c.. Whats the max i can run it? Its a hot chip.. not concave..

I am going to buy a new cooler, so i am running stock atm,

whats the best cooler for £35, and whats the safe temps? Will it auto shut down when it gets x ammount hot?

Phil

it won't overclock at all without more voltage, Its a hot chip.. I plan to get a quad core soon, so whats the safest highest temp would u say?

The Tuniq Tower I bought keeps my E6300 at 35c idle and gets to 50c max under load on the warmest days, using 1.2625v and running at 3.15GHz. 60c load is fine, 70c is worrying, 80c and it starts "throttling" IIRC.

There are threads about it that I'm sure you could find if you use search, dunno though :).

I have read other threads, but i thought id make my own..

I guess ill have to stick at stock till i buy a quad core..

Just get a good cooler and it will be fine.

My chip runs fairly cool cores are at 30 C on idle and thats just with an AC Freezer7pro
