i have 800/1924/2108 on my bfg oc 8800gt with accelero s1 fitted, hitting 15k in 3dmark 06. im quite amased at the overclocking capabilities of my 8800gt and curious if i just got lucky with the card or are they all like that? plz post you max acheived clocks

Although you have fitted an aftermarket cooler I think you got lucky.

My bfg oc with stock cooler hits 740/1756/1940 max and not a heat issue I think. If I put the memory to 1950 even with the card running cool at idle with 100% fan, it artifacts and crashes immediately.

If I set the shaders higher than 1756, it crashes in 3dmark in about 10 secs with temp of card hitting 60 degrees.

If I set shaders higher than 1800 at idle it crashes immediately.

So well done on your results and count yourself lucky you have a card which would appear to be the fastest overclocked GT I have ever seen (on several forums) by a long margin.(looking for jealous smiley but can't find one :()

Well i am not going to run it on those speeds. although heat is not really an issue on my card. ciriously i could not improve my vRAM clocks after fitting aftermarket cooling on it. they would clock to exact the same value as they did with stock cooling. but the core clock was 90mhz improvement with accelero. im now waiting for a solid guide on how to volt mod the memory on gt, see if i can push it to higher clocks.

Your gonna have to be soldering wires and stuff to do that, I think you can pencil mod it though.

There's a couple of others without volt mods, probably more if you look.

8800GT 16.719 800/2052/1080

8800GT 17.008 802/2052/1026

think volt mods for core are soldering resistors (sumthing i would not do, not that comfortable with soldering iron yet) but pencil mod for ram on 8800gt exists but its not confirmed yet... I am only interested in higher ram clocks anyway

Memory doesn't do much for the scores, I can go higher on memory but find if I drop them the shaders go higher, which does help the score.

Do you have a compare link, screen shot?

damn shder clocks are very impressive on those. I had to unlink shader clocks to put my core to 800
As is mine, the shaders generate the most heat I find.

noticed that Asgard seems to have managed 787/1955/1075 on his GT. Not sure what he had cooling his though.

out of curiousity how big of a difference would the cpu score be beween e6750 @ 3.9 against your q6600 @ 3.8?

well this is the best i can find, dunno the clocks on that one, my system OS had to be reinstalled so i stored my backup on my flatmates pc. cant find the one with 15k. sry

Open the application you use to overclock with, open the part with the clocks in, print screen, save it, upload it.

lol if only it was that simple. the system i got 15k was my mates pc...well kinda. it was his mobo - p35 ds3, his cpu - e6750 (@3.9), my ram - team xtreem 6400c4 and my gfx card. my system got semi dead evga 680i and e6400 and i really dont want to push it with the cpu clocks. I am waiting for ds3 and e6750 (exactly the same as my mates) but delivery hadnt come yet :(. if i get it today i will post the screens, but it doesnt look like i will.

Nice choice of mobo

How did the mobo die? Memory controller gone on it?

nope. lack of power while running 2 8800gt in sli overclocked :( its not dead though, just wont clock as much as it used too
