Hi everyone

Just wondered what the most you can ovreclock an
Athlon 64 3000+ 1.8ghz venice skt939 to.

I have mine at 2.58ghz with

Asus A8N-E
Arctic freezer 64 pro
1gb Crucial Balistix PC3200
Thermaltake silent power 430watt

If anyone hase gone any higher with one of these please let me know.

Thanks Everone :)

mine is perfectly stable at 2.6 and will do over 2.8 with 1.7v, cant actually do anything at that speed though!

Whats your stepping?

Mine does 2.6 24/7, is happy at 2,7 and i've had it as high as 3.3, if that helps..

I run this:

FSB: 289
HTx: 4x
RAM: DDR333, 2.5,3,2,6 1T
Vcore: 1.5v
VRAM: 3.0v
Vchipset:1.6
VHTT bus: +4%

This gives me:

2.6GHz CPU
235.6Mhz RAM at 2.5,3,2,6 1T
1156Mhz HTT

If your RAM and MoBo will handle that then you're laughing.

Whats the stepping on your 3000+?

if you give me the numbers written across the core I can tell you the production week (anything 12-19 is good, with 17 being Uber)

It's an E3 steping.

I'm faifly new to overclocking and when i get to 2.9 it doesnt complete the benchmark.

How do you guys get it so high?

whats you mobo and what ram do you have.
well i guss 2.58ghz is not bad seeing as i'm only 13

I'd say 2.8GHz on air, absolutely stable  see sig.

Might try for 2.9GHz later but i dont want to push it too far on air :p

soz for the slow reply, tiding my case

as i said its in my sig, Epox EP-9NPA + Ultra, you can get it for roughly £65 and its a beast of a motherboard. Done me well even with my OCZ value ram.
