What graphic cards are due out in the near future?

I was thinking about either a 8800 GTX or a ATI 2900 but I know there first generation DX10 cards and I've heard that there are som enew ones out in the near future that would be probably better cards in the longrun..

Thanks

I've seen figures floating around for Geforce 8800 series that range from 330 gigaflops to 500 gigaflops. So that puts G92 at more than twice the power of the current cards.

Thats the 1st G92's out which are not flagship cards, but cheapos.

Yea, so the 1TF beasts wont be G92's, they be G90 or something as if this is a cut down G92 for example, 9800GTS, then that would not add up been slower than an 8800GTS, so it wont ge a G92, it will be another G9*.

G92 is the sort of "value" version of the next cards, as far as I'm aware G90 will be the "enthusiast" cores and little is known about them other than Nvidia's claim of 1Tflop. G92 is supposed to November of this year but it sounds like G90 might slip till January.

yeah, the g92's are meant to be the mid to low range cards from the geforce 9 series, no point in releasing the top end cards when nvidia already own the top end...

I aint happy aboout the High End cards been left untill January, there going to cost I bomb I rekon, any guesses of the price of the GTS and GTX models of the G90? I'm hoping to go for the GTX model of the G90 or whatever when it comes out so I'm going to be saving like mad, was hoping for September - November release though :(

All depends on how long you keep the card if the 400 is worth it. I paid
around 350 for my x1900xtx when they first came out and still got it so
it not so bad for the money.

Think my mate paid over 500 for his 8800gtx which i would never pay.

in my honest oppinion this is what i think:

Theres a 50/50 chance that the cards we have now will be the fastest even wilst DX10 titles come out untill next year.

But there other 50% id say is that its possible for the G90 1TF card to come out early in time for some dx10 titles as the G80 came out in november time last year.

Ether way, im sticking with my HD2900XT untill the next biggest thing anyway, iv got more than enough power as it is, and im sure the cryengine 2 is optimised enough for todays gpu's to play at a reasonable frame rate, and when the next next gen cards come out, that will be the same as using a GTX/2900 on a DX9 game, good fps etc :)
