Not sure if this kinda post has appeared before/lately but was wondering as I'd just spotted an article on /. about it.

I think the oldest things I am using are a early 2000's Cherry keyboard here in the office (6000 series) and my Dell Mini 9 netbook (2008). I was going to say my Kindle 3 but had to seriously slap myself thinking that because it was 2 years old that it was somehow ancient.

In the cupboard I have all kinds of stuff in working order that Im just too hoarderlike to throw out. IBM Thinkpad 600E P2 from 1999; AMD64 PC from 2004 and of course a SNES, Sinclair Spectrum 48k and other antiques.

My current PC :o although I do plan an upgrade sometime in the new year. I think mine is around 7 years old :D

Got a gamecube and a minidisc player.

Also have some older hifi kit including a Yamaha AX1 which is getting on now but in perfect fettle. :)

still use this from time to time

Still use my MS intellimouse everyday. At a guess it's about 9-10 years old but I can't really remember.

I used to upgrade every year then 3 years but my last rig lasted 5 years (Q6600 OCd). Hoping my current i7 one will last half a decade as well :D

Also really horrifying when you take a step back and look at the world and how having a mobile phone thats more than 2 years old seems ridiculous etc

Got a 17" Viewsonic CRT monitor that must be 13-14 years old ... though as its only connected to my microserver for the odd time that I don't connect via putty then it probably doesn't realy count!

400 GB Western Digital HDD, had it for donkeys years and its now my main and only hdd after my Maxtor broke.

I'm also still rocking a socket 775 motherboard, q6600 and ddr 2 ram.

Ive just had a look at the website where I bought my pc components from and it was November 2005 :D Hopefully gonna get an i5/7950 in the new year. My current pc has an Athlon 64 x2 2.2GHz, 2GB RAM and a Geforce 7800GT lol

Still using a Microsoft intellimouse from about 10 years ago, my school had them when they were the bee's knees!!

Currently sitting on a Sempron 2500+ with 1.5GB DDR400 RAM & a Radeon 9200SE, probably the oldest thing I still use.
