not gonna kill myself anytime soon :p

but why is life so godamn ****.. people banging on about the rat race when your a kid doesnt mean anything.. Now im 18 i know whatthey mean. I finish me a2s in 1 month, then if i pass ive got a gap year. No job, no gf, no money, no car.. If i do get a job I dont wanna be in a dead end piece of crap for the rest of my life..

You are negative about it all before even starting? You have to start somewhere and its building up from nothing which is what its all about.

Ah, so much naivity to be smashed and ideals to become disillusioned. Enjoy the despair, it's a long ride - just try to come out smiling.

Same for me. My lack of motivation at A-level make sme fear Uni and putting time and money into it. Which then makes me **** myself even more about trying to get adecent job as an 18 year old with just A-levels (and they better be good ones) when it comes down to it. I will probably finish a-levels continue my shop job / travel for a year then go into full time employment hopefully.

Problem is is that saying that sounds so unlike me and i had totally had a mind set of going to uni until a-levels :(.

I'm depressed too as once i leave college i know that my life will literally be ntohing but going to work and then home most of the time. Makes me sad :(

I accept i am not truly depressed but i wish there was some other alternatives out there too!

You're taking A2s, You must be aiming somewhere? The Gap year is to experience freedom, So book yourself a holiday, Visit somewhere with friends. Then come back and work your ass off to get where you want to be. You're 18, You can pick your destination in life still.

also, getting a job, bit hard right now..

girlfriend, where can you find someone trusting these days

money, i have no job

car, need money

vicious circle.. Money buys you happiness.. FACT

Yep sums it up. Last statement really isn't true though it does certainly give a very good foundation to be happy :p

Stop feeling sorry for yourself, focus and put some effort into your work. You'll reap the rewards.

Make sure you use your gap year to differentiate yourself from your competition.

explain how im going to do anything worthwhile in my gap year with -£250 in my bank..

And yes ive applied for jobs, and have a temp placement at ascot but that wont last.. stupid godamn credit crunch..

Jees get a grip man - put your effort in furthering yourself rather than feeling sorry for yourself. Think positive.

With an attitude like that it won't...

You really need to start being more positive.

Do you have any idea what you want to do?
Do you have any hobbies?

You're right about one thing, if you're like me, money does buy you happiness. Everything is so much easier with money.

Thing is, money does not earn itself. I was working when I was 14 stacking shelves in Texas Homebase, worked ever since, non-stop. That was with no grades, qualifications, experience, nothing.
