Or your choices (if you program in many platforms).
Well I am not a professional programmer I just learned the basics some years ago.
I started with Borland products (Turbo Pascal and Turbo C++) but now I prefer Microsoft Visual C#. :)

For now it's C# and ASP.Net. I've recently migrated from having used PHP for quite some time and now I'm not looking back. I still have to maintain a lot of PHP code so I guess my time is taken up by a mixture of both.

Thanks elkdanger for posting.
Let me know your ideas....
What do you believe for C#??
Is a powerfull programming language to make amazing programs with plots etc...
I learned the basics just for OcBible that's why I am asking you.

At the moment It's all about PHP for me, but I hope (soon) to move onto something like Java (in preparation for uni). Ultimately I'd like to learn / know objective-c for OS X programming though!

Right now im programming Java/Haskell/VDM++ for uni work. Ruby/C in my spare time for fun.

All of my freelance stuff is in PHP, most of my open-source stuff is in PHP, and most of my just-for-fun stuff is in PHP. I do like a good old play with C# now and again, though.

where can I start? :p

Work:

bash/ksh/sh/csh/tsh (major suckage.)
Perl

Soon to be work (new job  ):

SmallTalk-80
Java
PHP
Perl
C#
<anything else deemed sutiable for use.. flexible, innit.>

At home:

BUGGER ALL!! It's play time, not work time! (but the odd spout of PHP.)
