Whats the real difference

Just looking at memory for a new build,

and curious to know (just as an example really) what the real world (gaming) difference is between these RAM choices, assuming they will be running on vista x64,
P35 mobo,
q6600 G0

I was wondering why 4x1GB with slightly better timings was cheaper than 2x2GB....

4 stick normally wont clock as well as 2 sticks, but there is really only 1 4GB today that can clock well, but cost a arm and a leg and from Mushkin.
