When overclocking my i5 on an Asus P7P55D my clock speed is always slighty too much. What I mean is: If I set my bus speed to say 190Mhz, it will usually end up being about 190.6 and because I'm using a 20x multi, I never get round clock speeds. It will be 3809.5 or 4013.8 etc.

Not a big deal but I'm sure there was a term for it. If i knew what it was called I could sort it.

I tend just put it under the-
'stuff wots irrelevant and doesn't need worrying about' category.

Its nothing fella, sorry I don't know the term. It would be weird if your components did run at EXACTLY the speeds specified-unless it steps way out then really it is nothing to worry about and doesn't need sorting, just a characteristic of your board and components.

The impression I get is that it steps out the more your processor goes away from its stock settings. Also having changed boards recently, one runs the processor slightly higher than I ask it to, one slightly under.

It's a little trick some manufacturers use to make their MBs appear a bit quicker than the competition in reviews.

Edit: Asus were fairly well known for being 1MHz quicker on the FSB compared to what you set it to.
