Whats this product for?

If your router doesnt do wi-fi, how do you expect that dongle to pick up a signal? steal your neighbours bandwidth?

If your router isn't wireless (99% are) then it wont connect to it.

Do you have any laptops that connect to the router wirelessly? Is this for a desktop PC?

Ok cheers.
I cant pinch the neighbours they got it protected. All i want the wireless for its to use the Nintendo 3ds online features

If you could answer my previous question I'll be able to help you further.

P.S. Your nintendo 3ds doesn't have a USB slot to connect that "product" into.

If you already have a router (box which connects to phone line... you probably got it from your internet provider) Then the 3ds will connect to it. It has wireless built in... just like laptops.

Do you have a router in your home? Do you have an internet package? Who is your ISP?

I bought the router myself about 4 years ago some netgear one, but it does not have wireless on it. My internet provider is Orange, i was thinking about getting a new router that has wireless on it. But it was very annoying installing the first one, it was pretty complicated, unless things have changed now and its easy.
I do like netgear, the router has been brilliant if i was to get one i would get this one:

Are you sure it isn't wireless capable? I've not known of any routers provided by a UK ISP in the last 6-7 years that isn't wireless. What's the model number of the router? It'll be on the bottom.

That router you posted is wayyyy over priced for what you need. Look at the ones around 20 quid. They're perfect for your needs.

Dont Orange supply a free wireless Router?

just ring them up and get them to send you one

as for it being complicated...they tend to make these routers monkey proof these days just plug it in and there will be a supplied Key that windows/3DS will ask for when you try to connect to it
