What's this server worth

Hi

I need your advice on what this server is worth before I sell it as I don't have a clue what it's worth now.

Dell Poweredge SC1420 with SBS 2003 + 10 additional user CAL (have original discs)
Xeon 2.8GHz/2MB 800FSB CPU
4GB Ram
2 x 160GB Sata Hard Drives
CERC SATA RAID CONTROLLER 6Ch, SC

Purchased in Feb 2006 for £2687.10 + vat.

Probably about 10% of what you paid for it, unfortunately. We have loads of HP DL380 G3/4/5's left from when we virtualised. They're worth pittance in comparison to what we paid.

I buy and sell loads of servers and you're not going to get much at all for it I'm afraid. The hardware is really underpowered and draws too much power for the vast amount of people buying cheap servers to bother with it as they will get stung if they want to colo it. They'll continue to scoop a DualCore Dell 860/R200 from the 'bay for ~£150-200

Pretty sure your precluded from doing this in the EULA, but you could check.

Why its 5 years old, most servers deprecate quickly over time. As other have said its power hungry, inefficient and end of life no doubt.
