Ive just got a 6600, and so far its fast!!!! :D

I aint really an overclocker but i am tempted.

What is the stepping, revision etc about and how does this affect overclocking?

On cpu-z it says stepping 6, revision B2.
On my CPU it says: L629B365.

This good?

I have an Artic Freezer Pro 7, Corsair 520W, Gigabyte DS3, 2Gb Corsair XMS6400 and Palit 640Mb 8800GTS.

What OC can I expect?

Thx

The 'B' of L629B365 is the best indicator that it is a good chip. They are overclocking better than 'A'.

Yes...as Cob says the "B" is supposed to be the best....the 2 i have owned were both "A" the E6600 highest super pi 1mb stable was a tad under 3.8ghz and now my E6300 in sig will super pi 1mb @ 3.5ghz so the "A"s are not too bad. :)

I have L629A531 and its currently at 4Ghz :p, PI 1MB was around 14 secs or less.
Dont have exact time since im at my friends house.
