What's this?

Can anyone tell me what light bulb this is?

It comes from the rear indicator of my fender eliminator kit (Bonneville t100 Thruxton & Scrambler: Bolt on Tail Tidy, Fender Eliminator Kit Including Chrome/Amber Retro Indicators / BLEG+LUC-REDF/D+CH/AMBER) from SquareDealsLtd.

I emailed them now but they're pretty bad on replying so in the meantime I'm going to see if I can source it myself. Only problem, what is it? Checked ebay for generic motorcycle light bulb but nothing came up.

Any ideas? Thanks.

It'll be a 12v halogen W5W

Are they actually meant to be looped at the end or have prongs? Is mine broken?

Is it not a standard motorbike indicator bulb, but the silver base has come off?

According to fowlers parts:

I checked carbed and non carbed models and the part number is the same

edit: Ah, just read the 'fender eliminator kit' bit. So I take it you have after market indicators?

Yes they are aftermarket. I have some coming, hopefully they'll arrive this week :) Until then I'm illegal. Luckily most of my turning is right and not left :P

I thought if your bike is registered after a certain date and originally has fixed indicators then they must be working?

Regardless, i would use hand signals for the time being.

Pretty sure it'd fail an MOT without my indicators working which is why I assume it's illegal

MOT and what is actually legal/illegal on the road are strangely enough 2 different things. I'd pass an MOT with no plate light but technically I could be pulled under the road vehicle lighting regulations.

Depends what it is I suppose. I'd be pulled and fail my MOT if my indicators aren't working.
