So few days ago I have switched my ISP again from Sky to BT and getting terrible latency spikes.
I'm not bothered really as I have done it only in the hope of this triggering BT/Openreach g.fast availability checker which it worked.! (g.fast was not available prior to this and I was told by Openreach that my line doesnt support it (they test every line for capacity.. really..?) and it is unlikely that it will in the near future)
I am now switching to Zen to get g.fast (atm it is only available to order from them and EE).
Anyway just wanting to hear your opinions what is going on with BT and those latency spikes..? surely it isnt normal is it.?
here are broadband quality monitors from sky and bt.
both using same hardware (unlocked HG612 + RT66U)
both lines running in fast path.
it is worst when watching IPTV which is what both monitors are showing (constant 5-10mbps).
