wtf is this?

if i move my mouse across links on a page quickly i can sometimes see the pointer go big like a hand or something and looks like all bits of green around it.. i cant tell

looked in the control panel and mouse options but cant see that icon there, i recorded it with camtasia aswell but it doesnt show up..

 its annoying

EDIT: if you go to ocuk main page and move the mouse quickly up and down over the links maybe you will see what i mean, if its to do with vista that is.

sounds like the symptoms of GPU death

On just the mouse cursor?

While I can't offer another option, I would be VERY surprised if a dying GPU only affected the cursor, and nothing else.

I've only seen that before in Windows 2000 on ATI Rage cards - was a driver issue there.

Nobody seems to be posting so im thinking nobody else has this issue?

the only things ive downloaded on it recently are the realtek drivers for my onboard sound as nividia's ones are poor and cause crashes.

it is annoying but i cant seem to think what is causing it? i always get issues nobody has an answer to
