is my ram running at correct specs ----
2zptr20.jpg

i am using--- Corsair 1GB DDR2 XMS2-6400C5 TwinX (2x512MB) (MY-112-CS)
its on overclockers, they say it is rated at 800Mhz at 5-5-5-12

can anyone help me change it to what it should be, or is it how it should be?? thanks

Its not running properly in that its in single channel, you may have put the sticks in the wrong slots?

Yeah the fsb of your cpu

In that case you should be able to raise the divider to allow the ram to run at a higher frequency.

Check your mobo manual for what slots to use to enable dual channel

Edit// the cpu/mobo does support dual channel i take it?

here are my pc specs just so u get it all cleared

put 1 stick in one yellow slot and the other stick in the other yellow

ok, ive done the change, it now says dual at the top, but it is the same frequency and the nubers are like this

5
6
6
18

is this what i want or do i have to chage stuff again

go into bios, advanced -> jumperfree config -> ai tuning -> manual, set memory voltage to 1.9v and set dram freq to 800.

go to northbridge settings and turn off timings set by spd, then set the timings too 5-5-5-12

nope 5-5-5-15, stick to what its rated to unless you are overclocking and need to alter timings. im not good with timings to ill leave that to someone else

EDIT: Beaten to it

oookaaayyyyy

i have my ram set at 5-5-5-12 now yay, but freq is still 3hundred and sumthing, i tried changing it to 800, the option wasnt there so i went for the next best thing 600, but my pc wasnt starting so i had to reset cmos :o

i can only asum its cuz my fsb:dram is 1:2, do i need to change it to 1:1, if so how!!!???
